Monet's Garden

Headed to the Big Apple before October 21st? This is one rare treat not to be missed. In a stunning tribute to French impressionist painter Claude Monet, the New York Botanical at Bronx has created an interpretation of his legendary gardens at Giverny in Northern France, that inspired several of his paintings.

It took three years and a detailed study of paintings, sketches and old photographs of the meadows to conceive and execute.

Curated by well known expert on impressionist art, Prof Paul Tucker, it is also the combined efforts of photographer Elizabeth Murray who has worked on the gardens at Giverny for 25 years and Fransisca Coelho of the New York Botanical and their team. Want to know more? Check out www.nybg.org
